Cable TV

General Information
The Faculty Student Association (FSA) and Residence Life have teamed up to provide Cable TV access to all resident students on campus.  Every dorm room is wired for Cable TV allowing students to have access to an channel line up consisting of popular programming such as music, sports, news, education, and entertainment.  FM signals are also available on our cable system.


Digital Cable Channels Added

Twelve digital cable channels have been added to the SUNY Fredonia Cable Television Network, offering improved picture quality, enhanced features, and high definition capabilities to our customers. Please visit the Digital Cable Channels page to see if your television is capable of receiving these new channels.


Buffalo Sabres Information

FSA is proud to carry the regular season Buffalo Sabres games (based on the Sabres Regular Season TV Schedule) on our SUNY Fredonia Cable Television Network. Games can be watched on the following channels:

Cable TV Connections

Tv and RemoteBasic Connection
For television service, connect the coaxial cable from the service wall plate, directly to the VHF or coaxial connector on the back of the television.  A matching transformer that has a coaxial connector on one end and twin leads on the other end may be necessary on some televisions.  Cable TV accessories are available for purchase at the University Bookstore located in the University Commons.

DVD/VCR Connection
Connect the coaxial cable from the wall plate to the VHF connector on the DVD player.  A second cable will be necessary to connect the DVD/VCR to the TV's cable jack.

FM Stereo Connection
FM signal is available on your cable system.  Connect the wall outlet port with your stereo receiver.
